The Donoho School is pleased to announce the hiring of Coach William “Bill” Smith as New Head Football Coach!
We are pleased to welcome Coach William “Bill” Smith as a full-time member of the Donoho faculty. Coach Smith has a long and distinguished career in Alabama High School football including stints at Shades Valley, Munford, and most recently Talladega. Among the awards and honors he has received are Alabama Sports’ Writers 6A Coach of the Year (2013), Over the Mountain TD Club – Coach of the Year (2013), Birmingham Metro High School Coach of the Year (2012), Talladega County Coach of the Year (2015), Dekalb County Coach of the Year (2010), Offensive Coach in the 2014 Under Armor High School All-American Game on ESPN, and Offensive Coordinator of the North Team in the North vs South Alabama All-Star Game. In addition to his football duties, Coach Smith will serve as Donoho’s Strength and Conditioning Coach for all sports and assist with Track and field, primarily in the field events.
