James Perry, a seventh grade student at The Donoho School, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee on December 10. The school-level bee, at which students answered oral questions on geography, was the first round in the 26th annual National Geographic Bee.
James will take a written test in January to attempt to qualify for the state bee and the opportunity to compete for a $50,000 college scholarship. James has represented Donoho in the state bee for the past two years, finishing fourth and eighth overall.
Congratulations, James!
