Congratulations to junior Max Garrett for being selected to participate in the 2015 Auburn University High School Honor Band! The Festival is sponsored by the Auburn University Bands and the Department of Music and will be held on the Auburn campus the weekend of February 12–14, 2015.
The Festival will consist of one Wind Ensemble, one Symphonic and two Concert Bands, which will be conducted by Paula Crider (Professor Emerita, The University of Texas), Chris Ferrell (Supervisor of Instrumental Music at Cobb County School District), Jon Bubbett (Band Director, Thompson High School) and Wally Shaw (Band Director, Houston County High School). Timothy Mahr and Johnnie Vinson will be the two guest conductors and clinicians for this year’s event.
The Festival will conclude by featuring all four Honor Bands in a Finale Concert in the Auburn Performing Arts Center on the campus of Auburn High School at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Admission is free.
