Jeffrey S. Ballard is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Ballard Spahr LLP, a nationwide law firm of over 500 attorneys. In his practice, Mr. Ballard regularly acts as counsel to lenders, borrowers, credit enhancers, issuers and underwriters in the structuring and negotiation of complex taxable and tax-exempt financings. His finance experience spans over two decades and encompasses a broad range of industries and projects, including manufacturing, educational, healthcare, housing, water resource, transportation, hotel, cultural and general commercial facilities. Mr. Ballard received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University (A.B., 1984), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and his law degree from George Washington University (J.D., 1990), where he was a member of The George Washington Law Review.
Mr. Ballard is the son of the late Dr. Fred Ballard and Mrs. Wynelle Ballard of Anniston. He currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
What is your favorite memory during your time as a student at the Anniston Academy/The Donoho School?
High school is a collection of memories so no single one stands out. I do remember having terrific teachers in small classes, and feeling very lucky such a great academic environment was available in my hometown.
