On Tuesday, February 28, Dr. Pitt Harding came to speak to Mr. Connell’s Honors English 11 class. Dr. Harding is a Milton scholar and professor of literature and writing at Jacksonville State University. His lecture, which provided a keen historical context of the epic poem with a focus on Milton’s use of imagery, followed an in-depth study of John Milton’s Paradise Lost with an emphasis on Book I, “The Fall of Satan.” Thanks, Dr. Harding, for spending your morning with us!
