Congratulations to our Scholar-Athlete of the Week, Emma Wiedmer. Emma is a junior with a 4.1 GPA who plays tennis and is a cheerleader. She considers her greatest academic achievement to be maintaining her grades while participating in extracurricular activities. Her favorite subject is Mr. Ford’s AP US history class because his exaggerations and extensive vocabulary make history interesting. Emma was Calhoun County Tennis Player of the year and has won both sectionals and county tournaments for past three years. Last year, she had an undefeated record. She attributes her success in athletics and academics to her mother, and she plans to attend either Southern Methodist University or the University of Alabama and major in marketing. Emma serves her community by volunteering at the Anniston Farmers Market and the Woodstock 5K. Congratulations, Emma!
