Congratulations to our Scholar-Athlete of the Week, Cole Runyan. Cole is a senior with a 4.0 GPA and plays football and baseball. He plans to attend Ole Miss or Auburn University and pursue aviation or medicine. Cole considers his greatest academic achievement to be balancing sports and academics while living a long distance from the school. His favorite subjects are history and forensic science. He enjoys history because he believes it’s important to know the mistakes of the past to correct the future, and he enjoys forensic science because Mrs. Senter makes it fun. His parents are the most influential people in his life, whether it is encouraging him in athletics or pushing him to do his best in academics. Cole volunteers with the First United Methodist Food Bank in Clay County and with fellow Eagle Scouts. Congratulations, Cole!
