The Donoho School now has a mountain bike team! Students who are interested in mountain biking have been practicing at Coldwater Bike Trail and on the school campus to learn fundamentals as they prepare for their first race. Alum Ian Childers ’06 is the team’s coach. Special thanks to Donoho parent, Bob Davis, for his assistance in organizing this opportunity for our students.

March 14-15, 2015: Race #1 – Tannehill State Park, McCalla, AL
April 11-12, 2015: Race #2 – Chewacla State Park, Auburn, AL
April 25-26, 2015: Race #3 – Oak Mountain State Park, Birmingham, AL
May 2-3, 2015: Race #4 – State Championship Munny Sokol Park, Tuscaloosa, AL
Riders in this inaugural season are participating in something very special! The state director recently stated that the Alabama league is on pace to set a record for rider participation for a first-year state league. About 20 teams across the state have formed in the past few months. Big things are happening and we are excited to be involved!
