Congratulations to The Donoho School Middle School Scholar’s Bowl team for capturing the Alabama Independent School Association state championship on Thursday in Montgomery. In a true team effort, the squad of Carlton Glenning, Mason Gilliland, Sebastian Corey, Jackson Popham, and Owen Watts defeated Faith Academy 280-140, Houston Academy 370-180, and Pickens Academy 390-60 in pool play winning Donoho’s pool and outscoring all other teams in the tournament by over 200 points. In the elimination rounds, Donoho Defeated Eastwood Academy 240 – 170, and in rematches, Faith Academy 260-170, and Houston Academy 250-190 to win the State title.
