Scholar-Athlete of the Week: Jordan Ray
Junior Jordan Ray is an outside-hitter for the back-to-back class 1A State Champion varsity volleyball team.
Jordan carries a 3.9 GPA and her favorite subject is history. When asked why this was her favorite subject, she comments, “I enjoy learning what has happened in the past because it can teach us what can happen in the future as history repeats itself.”
She plans to attend Auburn University or the University of Alabama, but is undecided on a college major or future career plan.
She is a member of the Knox Concert Committee, Spanish Club, Science Club, Drama Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students, Mu Alpha Theta, Discovery Club, Focus Club, Spirit Club, DD Club, and International Student Club. She is a member of the Golden Springs Baptist Church youth group and enjoys volunteering at the local animal shelter.
Jordan is the daughter of Drs. Clint and Shelley Ray, and sister to Buddy (’18) and Jack (‘19). When asked who was her greatest influence, she says, “My dad has always pushed me to strive for greatness in everything I do academically and athletically.”
Congratulations, Jordan!
