Congratulations to Garrison Morgan who was chosen as a Bryant-Jordan Scholar-Athlete Regional winner for class 1A. The scholar-athlete award is given to a senior who has excelled in both academics and athletics, and who shows leadership as a student in civic and church activities. Garrison was one of ninety-six student-athletes statewide selected as a regional winner.
Garrison participates in football, basketball, baseball and soccer as a member of the class of 2011 and maintains a 4.4 GPA. He is a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church and is involved with the youth group. In his community he is involved with the Knox Concert Series, the Anniston Soup Bowl and a tutor for his peers. Garrison is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gary Morgan and will attend the University of Mississippi in the fall and major in pre-medicine.
