Congratulations to Dudley Reynolds ‘71 who was inducted into the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Vestavia Country Club in Birmingham. Dudley was introduced by his brother, Hammond ‘78. While at Anniston Academy (Donoho), Dudley was the Top 5 Ranked Junior Player in Alabama in Singles and Doubles. He was team captain his senior year. Then Dudley attended Furman University where he was an Academic and Athletic Scholar. He played for legendary Hall of Fame coach, Paul Scarpa.
While at Furman, Dudley was a three-time Southern Conference Champion for No. 1 Doubles in 1972, No. 2 Singles in 1973, and No. 4 Singles in 1974. He has continued his love for the game with over forty years of tennis in Birmingham, still playing three times a week.
Way to go, Dudley. We are all proud of you. Keep serving up those Aces!
