Congratulations to our Donoho Robotics Team! One of our four teams won the Design Award at CE Hanna’s VEX IQ Robotics Competition on Saturday, January 26. Winning this award qualifies this team for the state competition held in Auburn, March 2-3.
The Design Award is presented to the team that demonstrates the ability to implement the most effective and efficient robot design process. Judging is based on their Engineering Notebook and interview with the Judges. Teams must demonstrate their ability to produce a quality robot with minimal adult assistance. The team must also meet the following criteria: the Engineering Notebook is a clear, complete, and organized document of the robot design process, the team demonstrates effective management of skills, time, and material resources, students understand and explain how they developed an effective game strategy and robot design, and students demonstrate teamwork and effective communication skills.
