George McMillan, a senior at The Donoho School, has been recognized for his outstanding achievement on the PSAT exam and has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Semifinalists are the highest-scoring program participants in each state.
George ranks in the top 1% of 16,000 students who will apply for status as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. There are over 1.3 million students in about 21,000 high schools who enter the National Merit Scholarship Program each fall, and only 50,000 of the highest-scoring entrants qualify for the program recognition. He will have an opportunity to advance in the competition for some 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards.
Congratulations, George!
