To celebrate the eclipse last month, Donoho students enjoyed a Concern for Others casual day. Concern for Others is a long-standing Middle/Upper school program in which students may donate a minimum of $2 and enjoy casual dress. As the eclipse was an amazing natural phenomenon, we wanted to donate the proceeds to a local organization that supports awareness of nature and our world.
Thursday morning, Olivia Davis, the school’s SGA President, presented Sarah Burke of the Anniston Museum of Natural History with a check on behalf of the student body. Ms. Burke, who is the Education Director of the Anniston Museum of Natural History, spoke to the student body about the many ways in which students (and adults) can volunteer at the local non-profit organization.
