Congratulations to Nisha Kashyap ’11 who received the Phillip C. Jackson award at Birmingham-Southern College for starting and running a business in three weeks, which earned over $2200 in profits, the highest among her competitors.
Congratulations to Abhishek Purohit ’12 for receiving the prestigious Hubbs Award at Honor’s Day at Birmingham-Southern College. The Hubbs Award honors “the student who best exemplifies the twin principles on which this college was founded: academic excellence and selfless service.” The student, preferably a junior, will embody the following quote: ‘We are free, subject to no one; we are servants, subject to all.” Martin Luther
Abhishek shares the following, “I am most blessed to have been able to gain a first class education at Donoho and BSC: both value a small class size that fosters a close student/teacher relationship. This academic structure creates an atmosphere of allowing students to learn with the infinite opportunity to prosper inside the classroom and outside in the community. I figured I would let you all know (sorry I am bad about keeping in touch), but I now know it is important to let you all know how well Donoho has equipped us in our respective college educations!”
We are so proud of Abhishek and all of our alumni!
