These temporary red, white, and blue monuments to those fallen in the line of duty serve as a stark reminder of the sacrifices that have been made in the name of freedom, and their presence marks the arrival of one of America’s more solemn holidays: Memorial Day.

Alumna Karen Hester ’77Â to be Inducted into Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame Posthumously

The Donoho School’s beloved Ms. Karen Hester will be honored posthumously at the Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame’s 14th annual induction banquet June 16, 2018, along with five other inductees. The banquet will be held at the Oxford Civic Center.
