We believe the arts are an inherent part of an outstanding education, and from our youngest four year olds to our graduating seniors, opportunities in the arts are abundant. Peek into the Fargason Center at any time to see our students sketching, painting, or sculpting. You will be delighted to hear our music students singing or practicing a variety of instruments from the banjo to the upright bass or to hear our award-winning concert or jazz band. Our Jazz band has played with other local bands and recorded twice at the Nutthouse Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals. Students are busy in our maker space sewing costumes, building sets, or rehearsing choreography for our latest theatrical production. Our Band, Choral and Theatre students are award winners at multiple competitions, such as AVA Solo and Ensemble, AMEA, All-State Choir and Band, and the Alabama Conference of Theatre Trumbauer Theatre Competition. Our students’ award-winning work is visible throughout the community, including large murals, rotating gallery for Regional Medical Center, Main Street USA Project Art Bikes, and art for the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home and Second Chance Women’s Shelter.Â
The Donoho Arts Collaborative is a truly unique part of our program, and we welcome you to visit our campus to experience our visual and performing arts programs.
